This device provides expansion of only the anterior section by keeping the molar section almost unmoved.  

A posterior articulation joint features expansion arms orientated onwards to get an arc of a circle basal expansion. Expander comes with a stainless steel key with a 45 degree bend at the tip, a standard stainless steel key and safety leash.  

This expander is used when anterior transversal deficiencies on the maxillary arch occur, while the posterior diameter is correct (often when patient suffers from cleft palate).

Based on the same principles as the rapid 

palatal expander, but can be fabricated on the lingual surface of the maxillary or mandibular arch for expansion capabilities and stamina similar to that of a standard RPE. Other applications include individual expansion or molar distalization.  

Features two legs or extensions and one stabilizing bar. Overall height of the screw is 2.5 mm - 3 mm, producing an improved fit and a comfortable lingual expansion appliance for the patient.  

Made from surgical grade stainless steel. No oxidation or corrosion in the oral environment.
